Teeth Whitening Gel Kit
Home teeth whitening is becoming more common as there are more effective harvest on the market that are affordable to more consumers. Teeth whitening gel kits are made by many uncommon companies, such as Colgate, Day White, Opalescence and Sapphire (which used to be Rembrandt).
These teeth whitening gel kits contain all that a consumer needs to get started with the teeth whitening process. There are some kits that can be bought through a dentist’s office, while others can be found in stores and pharmacies, bought over the counter.
Types of Kits
Some teeth whitening gel kits provide U-shaped trays that are already filled with a pre-set amount of bleaching solution so that the user does not have to be careful about using just the right amount. Although the trays are not custom fitted to the teeth, they still provide adequate coverage to the teeth and bleach all teeth in the mouth, both front and back, so that all teeth are the same affect.
Another type of teeth whitening gel kit provides syringes of bleach gel solution at whatever strength the user desires, from a strong, thirty-five percent bleach solution down to a ten percent solution. Since the gel is already sticky and thick, these teeth whitening gel kits provide a type of brush that can be used to paint on the gel frankly onto the teeth.
With this solution, the teeth are normally brushed and rinsed painstakingly previous to the solution is painted onto the teeth to give a better chance for the solution to work. The problem with this method is that it is messy and the consumer must sit with bleach in his mouth, trying not to swallow it, for up to a half an hour previous to brushing the solution away.
The most common type of teeth whitening gel kit is one that provides a mouth guard for both the top and bottom teeth which can be molded into the shape of the teeth for a better covering of bleach solution. Once the mouth pieces are molded, then the consumer squirts the bleaching gel into each tray and then presses the trays onto his teeth, gently pressing the mold toward the teeth to get air bubbles out and the gel more solidly onto each tooth. Some people choose to have the mouth piece custom fitted by their dentist and then use a teeth whitening gel to fill up the mouth piece and bleach their teeth, but this is more expensive.
